Pink dio positivo a Covid-19 y realizó donación en apoyo a centros de salud

La reconocida cantante norteamericana Pink reveló a través de sus redes sociales que dio positivo a Covid-19 hace unas semanas y que tras cumplir con su respectiva cuarentena se encuentra libre del virus.

En una publicación de Instagram ella explicó como con su hijo de tres años comenzaron a presentar los síntomas de la enfermedad, recurriendo a un centro de salud donde su médico pudo realizar los exámenes y confirmar el diagnostico en ella.

No obstante, y pese a ya estar mejor de salud, la cantante aprovechó la instancia para cuestionar al gobierno de Donald Trump y las medidas que ha tomado para la emergencia sanitaria. Ella hizo un llamado a facilitar el acceso a los exámenes, incluso señalando que estas deberían ser gratuitas.

Además, cerró sus palabras anunciando que donaría 500.000 dólares al Centro de Emergencia de la ciudad de Los Angeles para ayudar a los profesionales de la salud, explicando que el virus no discrimina y que es necesario reconocer las labores de los profesionales de la salud.

Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative. It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible. In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.
